Have you met believers who have ruined their health, affected their family life and damaged their ministry because of excessive involvement in church? What went wrong? Their priorities were off. They did everything the ministry, the people and the church expected of them but not necessarily what God intended for them.
Would you like to know what God is expecting of you? Come and find out at Vertical Conference 2121! This year, priorities will be our priority! We will offer around 50 workshops on a variety of topics related to ministry (such as small groups, assimilation, production, counselling etc) as well as focus on ministry leaders as people called to live according to His priorities. When you know what His priorities are for you and live accordingly, the rest will fall into place.
Come and let Him reset your priorities!

One of the qualifications for the pastor in gospel ministry is a well-ordered home (1 Tim. 3:4-5). How you manage your home is a microcosm of how you will manage the church. If you can’t manage your home, if your children do not love and respect you, you have no business being in the ministry. Ministry starts with your family!
Revitalisation means a return to the dynamics of life intended by God. Because the Church belongs to Christ, revitalisation is not a suggestion, but is indispensable in the worship, serving , and teaching of the Church. This workshop places the essential elements of revitalisation in order of priority!
The purpose of the Sunday services is to glorify God through worship, Scripture, prayer, serving and many other things. Production of church services can either support these or distract us from them. In this workshop we will see the importance and the purpose of production, preparation throughout the week, rehearsals and most importantly the unity in Spirit as we worship through songs and the Word of God.
More and more local churches are initiating a small group ministry in the home, and this arouses different opinions. Some appreciate this idea, while others challenge it. But what does the Bible say about this? Are there biblical arguments for such a ministry, or is it just an American invention? Should a small group ministry be a priority for the local church? This workshop is for you if you want to understand “why?”, but also “what” the small group ministry looks like in a Vertical Church.
The phrase “finish well” can mean something different, depending on the people who hear or use it. For some, “ending well” means living long and enjoying a long retirement. For others, “a good ending” means being healthy in old age and then dying without pain. For Christian leaders, a successful ending involves following Jesus to the end of our lives, fulfilling the mandate given to us, leaving behind a holy legacy, and hearing the words “well done, good and faithful servant.”
The workshop advances a strong argument for the priority and the importance of the exegesis of the biblical text in the homiletical process. Biblical exegesis is an all-too-often neglected stage in sermon preparation, a reality with serious negative consequences for both the preacher and the listener. As a well-established stage in sermon preparation, biblical exegesis can and must become one a most trusted ally of the preacher during the homiletical process.
Just like in the Cinderella fairytale, emotions have been neglected, shamed , despised, and placed at the bottom of our priority list. Although, they are hard to understand and to control, although they are suspicious and treated with contempt, emotions diligently do their job whether they are let loose, denied, suppressed or buried. In this workshop we will become familiar with a few emotions by identifying them in biblical passages and characters and we will offer solutions for getting friendly with them.
This workshop is a presentation of the practical steps to successfully invite, bring in, welcome, and assimilate a larger number of visitors at one of the local church gatherings, in the 21stcentury context.
Leaders need to be life long learners. In this session Pastor Ron Zappia shares some of the leadership lessons he’s learned as he planted the church he has pastored for 21 years, raised up other leaders and pastors, and planted churches across the globe.
In what way is your heart a priority in the sanctification process and a priority to change the behavior? In most cases, the heart is the root of the problems we are facing and therefore we must know how it works, what it hides and the way it can be healed/ set free.
From Genesis and all the way through Revelation God is seen evaluating his servants and their ministry, and based on the results, He determined the necessary strategy to implement His plans. His example should be adopted by us both personally and in our ministry. Many churches stagnate because they don’t assess their ministry and ministry workers regularly and thus they are not able to understand their needs objectively and plan realistically the vision every year. This workshop will show you how to practically evaluate and plan the new church year. As one of the most requested workshops, it is offered to participants each year. This year, it will include how to assess and plan for family and personal recovery time both of which are often sacrificed leading to irreversible consequences.
If you have too much time and you tend to get bored, this workshop is NOT meant for you. However if you ask yourself “Where has the time gone?” then this workshop may be useful to you as it will help you manage time wisely, so that you may be able to achieve what you’ve planned to do, know precisely how time has been spent and most importantly to see if you fulfill your purpose in life.
There has been a lot of discussion in recent decades about who, how, and where to do evangelism. But how can we use small groups of discipleship to present the gospel and win souls for Christ? In this workshop, we will explore the possibilities of evangelism in and through the home small group and identify 5 practical methods that are available to all functional and spiritually healthy small group.
We live in the times of “first impressions”, where the first experience of people with your church can become their last … That is why connecting and integrating those who come to your church means more than a smile, a handshake or a word of welcome. In this workshop we will look at 3 priorities: 1. How to create a welcome culture in your church? 2. Catechism – why and what? 3. Prayer for deliverance – with each new member of your church.
Too many churches are well equipped to approach a world that does not exist anymore. The rhythm of cultural changes accelerates, they don’t slow down. What are those elements that facilitate and cultivate a transforming experience during the holy service?
In this workshop we will deal with the tension between fulfilling biblical calling and making time for family experienced by those who serve in the church, particularly those with higher positions and high level of dedication. We will analyze the causes that lead to this lack of balance and we will also identify solutions for restoring and maintaining the balance.
How to thrive in ministry and not just survive!
This workshop is meant to answer your questions about recording, production and sound for livestream. Prepare practical questions, from vision to technical areas, in order to increase the production ministry level in your church.
From the very beginning of our ministry, sermon evaluation has always been a priority. Why? Because it is normal for any element, any mechanism, any operation to have a validation standard, according to which we are able to make an assessment. The same thing applies to sermon- the radiography of the sermon is important not just after its presentation, but also before getting to the pulpit. It is a tool that is incredibly helpful by reminding us of every important element that our sermon should include. If you are interested in preaching and you are not afraid to evaluate yourself, this workshop is for you!
It seems easy to make people talk in a world where everyone has opinions, but also information through different media platforms. However, many of us have found that it is not easy to generate and sustain effective discussions with those in our discipleship small group. In this workshop we will list and analyze some of the main methods and techniques that can help us in startingand maintaining quality discussions in small groups.

In this workshop you will find out why the church needs to use an effective marketing strategy, not to build a brand based on followers and likes, but to have an impact on people’s lives through the content it publishes.
Many times we try to use formulas and apply model in personal evangelism, and when we don’t have these evangelism ceases to be a part of our lives or of the church. We leave this task to professionals or stop doing it all together. Evangelism should, however, be personal, attractive, interactive, constantly present in our lives and especially effective. These qualifications can be found in conversational evangelism. Conversations must be natural, and at the same time must imperatively point to Christ. How and why do we do this? Where do we learn from? How do we practice? What does Scripture have to say in this area? A practical workshop, on the most frequently asked questions in everyday conversations among students.
Designed for relationships, Elements of a relationship – the role of boundaries in relationships, Soul ties – the invisible link of relationships, The reality of the wounds born from relationships and the way to be healed and restored. The quality of our lives depends on the quality of our relationships. It is important how that we establish, maintain and develop relationships.

Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, mental and spiritual exhaustion that obstructs the most hard working, passionate people who bear much fruit in the ministry. The spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak and many times the body just can’t keep up with the rhythm and the demands of the ministry. It will give in and affect our health, family, ministry and even our faith. As one who has experienced deep burnout a few years ago, and still suffer some of its consequences, I’d like to help you prevent it or if you have certain symptoms, I would like to help you move out of this downward spiral. We’ll also look at a case study of an important man in the Scriptures that has been through this and whom God Himself taught how to get out of this, hoping that His methods will help us out.

The administration of the church always implies the heart of the servant, and the understanding of the vertical priorities of the ministry. But for a correct and efficient administration, it is not enough for the deacon or the project manager to have vision, to be open to opportunities, to be communicative and able to make proactive decisions. In this workshop we will look at 4 priorities of the deacon or project manager: 1. Character and work ethics. 2. Managing tense situations 3. Liaison with the leadership team (elders and church pastors) 4. Building a biblical culture of service within the team.
A case study. – One of the obstacles to evangelism may be the lack of discipleship of those we teach to evangelize. We wonder why they don’t evangelize. We get upset by their lack of vision or even by the opposition encountered. Is it possible that those we rely on in the church to evangelize are not themselves evangelized or perhaps discipled. We invite you to a case study from real facts.
The plan of God, the reality of life , the restoration of our destiny. God has prepared a detiny for each believer. Our destiny is to enter into God’s holy purposes for our lives. Each of us is uniquely endowed and has a unique destiny. If we leave certain important issues unresolved and unhealed, we will end up hindering our walk in the fullness of God’s destiny for us. But once healed and restored, we will fulfill God’s purposes with each of us believers.
This workshop is a plea for the memorization of Scripture to be considered as the primary spiritual discipline in the life and the message of the preacher. The presentation will focus on Scripture memorization book-by-book, a surprisingly potent discipline in the homiletic process. Memorizing the Scriptures not only offers a new appreciation of the Bible and its role in the life of every believer. It is also the guarantee for revitalized relationship with God as well as of the preaching when these activities are built on a profound knowledge of the Scriptures.
This workshop will present two different approaches to ministry: the organic and the organizational models. We will identify the advantages and disadvantages of each model. We will focus particularly on the differences between these two models at the level of leadership but also on the implications on the various church ministries.
How to discover, develop, and deploy leaders to fulfill the mission!

You cannot kill time, without hurting eternity. Time is the most equal wealth. Each one of us wakes up every morning with 24 hours to spend. What do you do with your time? How do you use it? Whether we want it or not time goes by. But how?
To make life as manageable and easy as possible, we tend to seek and be content with models that approach the miracle of life in a static and simplistic way. With our strong need for safety and for a predictable future, life and its secretes must be approached carefully and wisely, from the simple to the complex. In this workshop we will approach the simple and static models but also learn to move on with freedom, creativity and flexibility to create and live according to more dynamic and complex models.
This workshop will discuss the intentional prayer strategy of the Leader and of the people in his sphere of influence, so that prayer is not merely focused on solutioning problems, but also generated by the vision and the mission in such a way as to serve these.
